Medication Policy

Medication Policy

Patients receiving prescription(s) will receive enough medication to merge them until their next scheduled appointment. Medication refill requests made outside of scheduled appointments will accrue a $50.00 fee, which is required prior to medication(s) being sent. Please allow 1-2 BUSINESS DAYS for the office staff to check against your records and acquire clinician approval. Refills cannot be guaranteed on a Friday, and will not be completed on weekends or holidays. We will NOT authorize refills if you do not have a future appointment scheduled. There is no guarantee that the Provider will approve a refill if requested between appointments or that any refill prescription will be issued within any particular time. Consecutive refill request are not allowed, and only TWO are allowed per calendar year. Any controlled medication will not be provided for refill if the patient has missed or canceled an appointment. Unless approved by the Provider, no changes to medication will be made outside of scheduled appointments. If the Patient believes a dose increase or a change in a medication may be necessary, the Patient must be seen for an appointment before the Provider will approve any such changes, so the Provider can assess whether the change is appropriate for the Patient’s clinical condition and health. There is no guarantee that dosing or frequency changes will be made.
