Appointment Policies (missed/no-show/cancellations)

Missed appointments/no-shows represent a cost to us, but most importantly, it is a disservice to other patients who could have been seen in the time set aside for you. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please give a 24 hours’ notice so we can fill the appointment with another patient. Please note that if less than a 24 hours’ notice is provided, you will be billed a missed appointment fee, which is due prior to the scheduling of any future appointments. A missed appointment/no-show charge is not a professional service charge and is NOT covered by your insurance. We, therefore, will charge you a full reimbursement rate for ALL and ANY missed appointments/no-shows.

**A fee of $175 will be charged to your account for appointments canceled less than 24 hours in advance or if there is a no-show. Excessive abuse of no-shows/missed appointments will result in dismissal from the Practice. Two missed appointments/no-shows will lead to termination of care.

**If you are ill and cannot make your appointment, a doctor’s note, for the date the appointment is missed, is required to waive any missed appointment charges.

**As a courtesy, we provide a grace period of 5-10 minutes, depending on your appointment type (5 minutes for follow up appointments, and 10 minutes for initial evaluations). Arriving late to your appointment, will be considered a no-show/missed appointment if the time has exceeded the grace period. If you arrive late for your appointment, please be advised that there is the possibility that your appointment may need to be rescheduled, as to not inconvenience the next scheduled patient.
